I'm not planning to update this every day but I'm hoping to get some feedback from you guys.. Also, don't pay attention to the areas without trees and such.
-Updated pictures because I didn't like the first ones

you new mapper?
you isn't use autoborder but it does not fit
sry my english but only learning;)

Hmm climates are all wrong. Marble fits desert. Brick/stone walls would fit that environment; possibly wood also.

Building shapes are decent.
Mountain is alright, maybe add fluctuations in height of it (to add realism).

Those bushes wont grow in water, the reeds however, will.

The idea with the ground (marble floor) etc would fit in a desert environment and would look pretty decent too!

Just get used to blending climates. Nothing natural should stand out too much.

It's a new style I'm trying out.. And there's sand because this is a 'rich' part of the city and the people wanted sand to sit on..
@Kac I reassure you nothing on here is autobordered..

I agree with Ghostx about the climates looking off in general. Temperate/deciduous plants tend to look really strange next to tropical plants in most cases imo.

Your mountain in the third shot looks a bit too squared off.

One thing I noticed is that the city has a gate that could withstand a nuclear strike but yet has no walls anywhere else. Defenses tend to be more evenly distributed. Maybe add a couple more watch towers around the perimeter of the city? or perhaps more walls.

I like what you did with the coastline and how there's a shelf of what appears to be a tidal zone. Very nice :]

Also when you are using straight vertical mountain pieces as you did in your first shot in the "tidal zone" it looks better to have that mountain border at their base to dissipate that perfectly straight line imo.

Very interesting architectural ideas!

I like the style and the idea for a rich looking city, but I think the nature around it doesn't fit. It looks to wild, more like a poor city and the sand parts look a bit random/out of place. I think adding higher parts of the mountain will also give a more realistic effect and I guess the mountain part on the third picture is unfinished :p

It's been awhile since I have last posted but here you guys go. More to come..

I like it though i feel like i've seen something very similar.. :o i may be mistaken.. Did you take inspiration from someone ?

Nice still.

@GhostX No, I just sorta went with it..
@Luffy If I didn't 'wallrape' it would look plain and boring..

But it's a bit too much, you can perfectly make it look detailled without doing it THAT much.

I suggest detailing with the RAW Palette, will look better, even if you doodad your nature at least do some of it in RAW

Bump, and also Peroxide I did all of it in raw this time.. In addition to this bump, I tried to keep it simple.
