DDOS Attacks, what is there that i can do to prevent it?

Hi, im getting DDOSed and i want to know what i can do to prevent it from happening, as i dont know anything about it. Please help out. Thanks!

Idl if there is much (cheaply anyway).

I've always thought having 2 domains hosted seperately and when 1 is off the other takes the host like a backup generator so to speak. But that's 2x the hosting fee plus some collabaration and relay coding or suttin so idk how that would be done easily..

Try and isolate it if you can.. Is there a specific time? Or any details of it? Maybe temporarily change the ip by listing on website or only in the thread to see of its from an otland viewer or your website.. Isolate it that way..


Edit: then maybe you can atleast have some players online on a diff ip for a while till you find a better more appropriate alternative

I dont know what type of attack all i know that its on a 0.5 gbs line somewhat and the time is between 22:00-23:00 swedish(eu) time.
And the server was flooded moments before that.

Im not looking for a cheap method, im just asking what is there to be done, how do the bigger servers survive?
