Solved DDOS on Apache

My website is going down, then server starts lagging. If I turn off apache, everything goes back to normal. I as trying to find multiple connections, but I could't, so I accessed apache access log and found something very akward. thousands of different ips with something related to wordpress trying to connect, very akward. What can I do?
