Hello OTlanders :D
I recently open my ot and when it reachs +/-20 players on it crash....

Code:
Server is out of memory: decrease size of your map or compile in a 64-bit mode

i rent a VPS with windows 2003 32bits

if i change to win 2003 64bits the problem can be solved? Maybe a memory upgrade?

Notes: There is no possibility to reduce my map and i dont know how to recompile TFS 0.4 64bits.

what's your ram in GB? what's your map size in MB? also try closing some programs that you think are using a lot of memory and run tfs again

2GB Ram
Intel Power Xeon 3.3GHZ
Map size: 85MB

I only open TFS in this computer :s

and use one OSx64

So win 2003 64bit can solve the problem?

no /\
64bits = handle more than 3,7 (i think) of ram.
doesn't change anything in 2gb ram.

and doesn't matter if you have 64 bits os without 64 bits server, same error.

Are u sure? I dont know if I can pay 2x what i actually pay.
when i look in the processes (ctrl+alt+del) only 1.5GB is in use and i already saw some guys with the same problem but with 8GB + RAM (example: http://otland.net/f16/forgotten-server-0-4-8-62-decrease-size-map-compile-64-bit-113131/)

if i change to linux i need to recompile the TFS or i can use the same???

what linux??? options:
Linux CentOS 5.8 - 32bits
Linux CentOS 5.8 - 64bits
Linux Ubuntu 11.04 - 32bits
Linux Ubuntu 11.04 - 64bits
Linux Debian 6 - 32bits
Linux Debian 6 - 64bits
Linux Ubuntu 10.04 - 32bits
Linux Ubuntu 10.04 - 64bits

You map its big for works in your PC..
need more RAM for works..

me same error and fixed add more ram..

For Compiling in ubuntu
its more easy and libraries move more fast..
in otland- section guides you search guide for compiling in [Linux] Ubuntu

I had that problem once too.. maybe you have used laatido with that exe before, so i just say try to host a smaller map or get more ram. :/ But still i never understand how my pc has only 2gb ram and can host a 50k/50k sized map xD
