Distro suggestion

Hi guys,

Don't worry, I don't have the assumption there is something ready out of the box. But in general.. I feel a bit lost.

How would you advise me to choose for a distro. There old school (native client version) distro, but also downgraded newer versions (for example TFS).
Some say the newer versions, were not made for the more old school client versions. And people are basicly deleting an converting features in newer distro's accordingly to the old methods (atk dmg/spells/items).

As far as I remember, I've never had a stable distro in the paste and my servers always get destroyed by crashes <5 years ago. Are newer distro's which are converted more stabe due to more modern way of backend?

There also revscripts ? and other versions of NPC's (im not an expert jet haha, trying to find out the content gap between now and 5/6 years ago haha. So I can't really understand the impact of this topics, compared to availibility in some versions of distro's.

So long story short! dan u guys help me a bit out. What would be a wise advise (prob targeting more old-school clientversion 7.4/7.7/8.0 or 8.6. Not sure jet.

There are no ready solutions tho, you gotta walk the walk.

PS: Revscripts are very cool, you are missing out on not using them

• No market? Hide it on the client side (OTC).
• No mounts? Hide it on the client side(OTC).
• No Unjustified Points? Hide it on the client side(OTC).

With a simple widget:hide() or by removing the module, you have a pseudo 8.6 in less than 5 minutes.
time vs. benefit win-win

I read the nekiro 1.5 downgrade is then a perfect solution. Revbased, modern base but still possible to have the 8.6 feeling. I don't know 10.98 is too modern feel for me. or are there any better solutions?

TFS 1.5 Nekiro is the best solution for sure

Dont think so. But for real Im compiling for 3 full days straight. It quite new for me, but I can't get anything to work atm. Such a struggle... compiling OT Server, map editors and clients with missing files, lost versions of components. Too new version of vckpg, missing links to packages. it feels I am stuck in a rabbithole for 3 days. so for now I gave up on tibia otcv8 for example. I have will check it later, first distro and all the tools

So first distro, and then I will check what client might suiting best. Im not sure jet have to dive in again which clients are suited well. suggestions ?
