Domain.. explain it for me?..

Well i have some problems with hosting websited geistors website.. and i tought about if it would work with a domain.. i mean im not the hoster the company are right? well if i buy a domain.. how does it work.. and where do i change stuff.. i mean is it so you put the website somewhere in there stuff or how is it? please guys explain this to me.. i really dont know how this work..

Alright, you have several options to choose between, whether you use the Dynadot's DNS system or you use your own.

I bought my latest domain from dynadot and I have to say, it was a program with the DNS server system.

However, when you have purchased your domain, you can go to your control panel details. Choose to have your OWN DNS system (Believe me, that will help you a lot), a working DNS system would be to use https://www.editdns.net/ , register for a account there and setup your name servers.

After setting up the nameservers, you will get NS addresses, like ns4.us.editdns.net that you will need to type in your domain (when setting up your own DNS system).

Note: It can take up to 30 minutes before the dns servers take effect.
