Welcome to DUP Teaser II. Before I begin I'd like to say a few words.
About DUP
DUP was originally a company to devote time and effort into creating different private servers. We've been running for about 3 months now, off and on. Now we're currently working on the OT part of the project and it's going perfectly. Our map is set at 4MB and will be improved until at 10-20MB! Then we will hook up TFS, mode the hell out of it and away we go. Now to all you guys who thought I wouldn't succeed with this, in your face!
What to expect
There are tones of things to expect in this teaser, that's for sure. You'll probably notice tones of different styles in the mapping. That's because we've picked different mappers to map using a similar thread to Open Map Project but in a private section here at ****** (thanks guys!). That's why there are different styles, notice we only pick from the best mappers. We currently have some great mappers across ****** such as Thim, Silent Reaper, Mackan, Niborz, Heer Karel, Seabitz, Servia, Roxyrus and last but not least Saerik. The screenshots I'm going to show contain work from the following members of our team: Thim, Niborz, Heer Karel, Roxyrus & Servia. The others work will not be posted yet, but be sure to join the server once it's online to take a peak. The owner of the server and manager is I, Athen while the co-owner is Mackan.
Anyway, onwards with the teaser!
While exploring the vast lands of DUP, you may encounter several swampy creatures and beautiful places to stop and relax in the swamps, though you better bring a chair.. don't want to sink, do we?
Now you've explored many lands.. you find yourself stuck in a hole somewheres. Is there a quest to be found? I'm not telling! Find out for yourself.
Looking for a place to relax, start a quest, visit an elderly fisherman or make runes? None of the above? Just lookin' for a place to explore? Then this is the spot for you. A beautiful home located to the north of all of DUP, warning: it gets cold!
If you're brave enough to venture far into the destroyed lands and walk through a mysterious portal you may find yourself with a nice reward.
Just starting out on DUP? Looking to hunt some scary rotworms? Bam bam! Come down here and fight those beasts.
Down in the destroyed lands (PoH) you may find yourself in an ancient temple.
Are you the ultimate quester? Find this tower and go dream walking! Who knows what reward you'll get at the end.
After taking a long stroll with your horse and your sword, yeah that's right you don't have a love.. you've found a peaceful place you can enjoy alone. A waterfall down in the dark cathedral. Oh look! You have a friend, Mr.bandit.
Seems you've been disappointed in your friends attempt to slay you so you fled to another part of the cathedral, though it looks like something.. or someone has dug up the ground so it's turned to dirt.
.. and that concludes our teaser for today. I really hope you enjoyed it.
