Error 2 when connecting OTClient to TFS 1.7 (10.98)

I’m having trouble connecting to my server. When I use a pre‑built server and client, I can connect without issues, so I don’t think it’s a port problem. However, since I want to learn, I’m building everything from scratch — both the TFS and the client.


I followed the tutorial from OtLand, downloaded the source for TFS 1.7 and OTClient, and compiled both successfully. But when I try to connect, I get error 2 (as shown in the screenshot). The error persists even when using OTC Redemption or OTCv8.



Additional information:

• TFS 1.7 compiled for version 10.98
• Client with dat/spr 10.98 in things/1098
• Running everything locally, no virtual machine
• My initial goal is simply to log in, then later start editing
• config.lua checked — IP and ports are set correctly according to the tutorial

anyone knows how to fix it?

As far as I know, there is no "1.7" in protocol "10.98".
According to your screenshot, I think it’s 13.10.

First, make sure you have MyACC installed, and try with the CipSoft client first

Quick tutorial to use protocol 13.10 on Mehah / OTClient Redemption


First, you need the official CipSoft 13.10 client files.


Open the official client folder:

tibia-client-13.10.12892/assets
Inside this assets folder you will see several files.


Copy all files from the assets folder.


Then go to your Mehah / OTClient folder and paste everything here:
data/things/1310/
