A bad script?? Or bad distribution?

Try disabling the window popup on config.lua

Try to decrease size of map with RME (Edit -> Other Options -> Remove all unreachable tiles)

use that. you dont have to reduce ur map ever. my maps like 130mb

Completely revise and modify OTBM's in general.
I think that 0.4 just uses way too much memory to load...something should be done.
