Probably get flamed to shit for this, lol, but I was playing on a server called "Kinera" I bought the premium points from them to buy donation gear to help out the server and to get some sweet gear, but to my dismay what ended up happening is he took the money (about a 100$) and shut down the server for 7 days, reset all the info, and refuses to refund or even give new points for what he did... so this is where I feel like i just got scammed out of my money like something feirce, is there a way to hit paypal up and dispute it and win for sure? because im quite pissed off as you could imagine, donate the money then no longer then 24 hours later he turns the server off for a week or so....

You shouldnt have wasted 100 $ on a ot before knowing it was at least going to be online for more than 1 day ;) at least i wouldnt donate that much first day.

Good luck next time.

You have 30 days to make a chargeback to PayPal.

Im not quite sure how that works but you can do it if you have a proof (like the transaction ID or a pic of it or something) and if "Kinera" had shitty "terms of agreement" for donations.

Again, I dont know how it works but it can be done, if you want to have a chance to recover your money, I strongly suggest you go now to www.paypal.com and start reading the whole damn support/help/faq pages. Find whats needed to make the reclaim and how to do it and then find a way to contact paypal.

But if I were you I would not have too many hopes on getting it back, considering it was what it was, a DONATION. You donated money to the server, you didnt "bought something" he was selling. Again, your chances pretty much depend on the terms he had on his donation page (the ones you need to agree with when you donate). If he had no terms, or shitty terms, you will probably win.

Good luck either way.

Also, I agree with Elaney, dude lesson for next time:

If you're gonna donate 100$ to a server:

1) Make a small donation first to make sure the Admin actually gives you the prizes.

2) Make sure the server has at least been 1+ month online AND is hosted on a dedicated server (or has very high uptime %) which means it has a better chance to stay online for at least some more months.

Cheers~

PS: For everyone in general, I do NOT support chargebacks. Ive been scammed with chargebacks when I had shitty terms, and I hate it just like everyone else. But I also know making chargebacks is not for fraud-newbies so if this guy is asking this here and if he's a fraud, its pretty impossible for him to win. If he's legit, he might have a chance to get his money.

The only thing I know of to chargeback a donation and not a payment with paypal is by opening up a claim as "Unauthorized payment" (as if someone went on your paypal account and donated to the dude)
This obviously isn't what really happened... But worth a try.

F*ckin hate scammers..

Hope you get your money back.

Alright guys, thanks for the help, luckily for me - They had no donation agreement :)

I understand I just need to open a dispute prob, but not sure what to say really. thats all
