I'm sure plenty of people here have played some finaly fantasy in their day. Does anyone remember final fantasy 7 and the Materia System they used? I loved that idea, that concept. Was very nice, and I think would be great add to any kind of open tibia server, but especially the RPG servers. What do you guys think?

Thanks, that was awesome, those guys are dedicated.... But I didn't mean all out Final Fantasy, just the materia system they used in FF7 was really cool it was like this...

Materia is say gems,
Red gem = Fire materia
Blue Gem = Ice materia.. ect ect.

Anyways, Materia gains levels the more it gets used, and it can inserted on slots on eq. So if you have Red Gem Materia put on sword becomes fire sword, but put on armor, armor is now resistant 10% for fire. As it grows so does the fire attack and the fire resistance.

Also other materia, like healing materia, put on armor, regen, put on wand, healing wand. stuff like that....

so you basically mean upgrading crystals and shit, they have been already on ots

But do the upgrade crystals work in a slot system, interchangeable and have their own exp and grow with max levels? And if so, totally missed that... Would love to check that code out.

afaik they were unchangeable but there was something like crystal grades.

So basically like the gems in d2. Chasm had gems you could put in and take out I think if I remember correctly and they worked like you explained and there's been many similiar systems.

Sorry never played d2. Not sure if that is a different game or an OT, or something... but anyways maybe a link?

Oh, lmao yeah such a noob. I suppose a lot of that is very very similar to what I was talking about, but close enough it can be modified.... I searched but just keep turning up results about a different kind of upgrade system...
