Spent some time looking through mapping threads and thought i will release one of my project..

This project is an RPG server, will be 8.6/7 i can always change it...

Anyway i'm new to the OT Community and wish to share my progress for *CONSTRUCTIVE* criticism and feedback etc etc.

Here we go... (REMEMBER ALL THESE ARE IN PROGRESS, SO CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK IS WELCOME)

u got nice ideas, but not well made.

My opinion: Never ever use metal fittings at anything.
Could you maybe show us something else u've made, maybe some grass nature or something?

Regards.

But bridges have metal fittings.... I ignored the water bit, but since you noticed i will change that in this case, but i'll leave them on the Bridges, the gate will obv be longer, like a city wall thing.

Also, i am working on a barbarian village (where rival barbarian clans are at war *quests*) :), so be sure to check back later today and i will post some pictures of them, hopefully thats nature enough :)

Thanks again for response, greatly appreciated.

Ghost~

Bump, sorry haven't logged on in a while, have had some busy days recently with college work etc, will add new screens soon, don't worry! :P

PLUS COMMENTS? :3

Bump again *I WILL ADD MORE SOON* just seriously busy, haven't had time to map at the moment with all my college projects..

Any comments on my mapping? :D i need criticism (constructive) because i know, since i'm new, i wont have the ability of half of these otland mappers :)

U got potential, here are some tips:
1. don't put grass tuffs or anything else on threes or rocks.
2. don't add gravel on sand, only on the mountain borders.
3. How U do it:

How it should be: (imho)

Imho you shouldn't add the borders at all, but since u seem to like it, I did it at some places, inspired on how Neon did it.
4. Don't Use Mast's as pillars, don't looks nice in my opinion.
5. Don't Use moss on these mountains.

Edit: Don't use that much different roof styles, you should max. it to 2.
Hope this was helpfull.

Regards,
Illusion.

Looks bit amateurish, but youre on the right path.
As stated above, your mountain borders looks weird... mostly the earth-grass stuff, I hate them except on very specific places.

Aand metal fittings may be very usefull in some places, sorry but saying you should never use it is a bad advice to a new mapper. Any sprite may look good on good hands.
