well its yuffies weapon from FFVII so i guess a sword

If its a weapon and is a sword try and make the blade longer than the handle so people can tell what it is.
But other than that its quite good.

Actually I believe that would be considered a distance weapon, and it would be cool if you could do some source editing, so when you use it (also would need to make a new animation) the weapon is gone out of hand, you see it hit the player, and then come back, then it's in your hand again, and you could make multiple weapons like this, write scripts for each, animations for each, and would have something very unique....

It looks ok, but the blades look a little dull. Don't be afraid to use the whole square. Also why is it like reddish in the middle? It doesn't look like that in the picture
