Looks interesting but if nothing is done about lazy kiddies botting that wont be good ;)

Also what's with the client then...are we free to pre download the client from the site now? Is your client a launcher which auto updates? Or do we have to wait for the announcement to download the ready client?

Our client is currently crashing, which is why we are not opening the Beta yet. It's not just a minor bug we can accept unfortunately. But we are in touch with the original client developer to help us fix it.

We don't have any bot built into the client. There will always be people trying to make Macros, or Auto-Repeating actions. We will enforce it as much as we can and remove those who try to cheat the game.
 
Anything we can do to speed up the client debugging ? What is the exact problem, what errors does it generate client and server side ?
 
We have a new trial version, hopefully this one will become stable soon. Thank you for offering assistance, we got it covered for now :)

We are currently dealing with some client issues, the beta has not started yet. The post here regarding it must have been burried...

The time has come for the Open Beta phase - which we have worked very hard to arrive at!
After several months in Alpha and Closed Bate test phases, getting constant feedback from our very helpful community, we now have a good base for a game!

We would like to invite everyone to join us on Sands of Time, influence the game's direction and shape the way it goes!
If you prefer to just try something new and watch as the game evolves - you are most welcome too of course!

Our systems have undergone functional testing and are now stable. It was a steep learning curve during which we have learnt many valuable lessons! Now that we have a good portion of our game mechanics complete, join us to experience the rapid growth and expansion of content.

During the Open Beta we plan to focus on adding depth, expanding content and variety to the game, building on top of our strong foundations!
More systems are planned, more new things are still in the works, but we can finally generate content in a good pace to give you all a new, unique and enjoyable gaming experience!

With just about 24 hours until open beta, we wanted to update you on a few changes we have made!

Fully Classless Gameplay - To allow for a wide variety of unique and personal game style for each player, all characters will now start as a Trainee. This way you will be able to pick the type of skills you like most along with the weapon type you like the most. Of course the attributes requirements stay.

Attributes Change - Previously Strength, Agility and Intelligence gave extra damage to Melee, Bow and Wand auto-attacks respectively. This was removed to allow for a larger variety of builds. This allows free choice of weapon without compromising on your skills. To counter the loss of damage, you will now receive 4 attribute points per level instead of the previous 3.

Spellcaster Archetype - We have revised the mana pools and mana cost of all skills, making mana a utility if you choose to use specific related spells. Mana regen and natural mana gain per level have also been revised.

Blood Spells - For a long time we have been teasing about some 'Ultimate' spells. We have added 9 for now, with more coming soon, 3 for each attribute type. Blood spells require a sacrifice from your health pool for enhanced advantages such as utility and damage.

Crafting - During the Closed Beta, we have tinkered with the crafting system. Having the system working well, we will be expanding on it more and more during Open Beta. Some long term chase items to be expected!

Random Gear Stats - We have made changes to the way stats roll on gear and gear requirement. It will now be more rewarding to kill higher level monsters, as the brackets of attributes are increases based on monster level.

Gear Level Requirements - It's no secret that the game needs more balancing, and that level 20's were able to kill level 35 monsters but not equip the gear for a long time. We have now changed the requirements to be in Brackets, meaning the last round number. For example, all gear dropped from monsters level 1-9 will have level requirement of 1. Monster level 10-19 will require level 10. Monster level 20-29 will require 20 - and so on. There is no point making leveling a tedious experience, or allowing for items to drop that are too far down the road to a point where it becomes demotivating.

We have a lot more tweaks and fixes we are making constantly, and I will make sure to update you (without too much spam) on the important things!
