Check my status to contact me :)
As I have recently messed around with setting up my own VPN I will now happily help you setup yours
VPN = Virtual Private Network
Why a VPN?
- Anonymity
- Privacy (Strong server side encryption; Encrypted Traffic)
- Circumvent geolocked boundaries (E.g. watch Netflix US even if you are living in the EU)
- Save money when shopping online (Especially when using ips from Russia you get some really good prices)
- Circumvent throttling of your ISP (Some providers do throttle e.g. p2p)
- DDOS Protection (Have some kiddy with a booter who wants to knock you off? With your own VPN/VPS you will have a quite fair ddos mitigation).
Why not to use a VPN Provider?
- Privacy (You have full controll about what happens to your encrypted traffic and if it is logged)
- When self-hosted you will have your very own dedicated IP adress
- Speed (All the vpn servers speed and bw is dedicated to you)
When to use a VPN Provider?
- If you are looking for servers from various different locations (You would need to rent several vps to achieve that which adds up to a higher monthly cost than you would pay for a VPN Provider)
- Comfort (Most providers have apps, a convenient webinterface and live support)
I do not have a vps to run my vpn on!
I will help you find a server that fits your needs, no worries
Note:
I will be using affilate links at some point if the providers I am affiliated with is suited for your needs.
This and donations are the only way I will be making any money from this.
Kind regards,
Damon
