I'm using Otserv 8.6 which doesnt have a section for global events so where would i put these types of events in an itserv distro?

Im not getting what you are saying,

where to put globalevents = dir../data/globalevents/scripts/...lua
where to enter xml thingies = dir../data/globalevents/globalevent.xml
 
otserv have no globalevents afaik so you cannot just create it
you can try putting it in some npc or sth
 
Also does anyone know of any cool features /creaturescripts and talkactions for otserv 8.6 that dont need the globalevents folder etc
