Though there are several alternatives to Winrar now (e.g. 7-zip) i just installed it on my laptop and it still works perfectly fine Also

Using 7zip myself as its more friendly toward tar archives.
But I did use winrar for a good 5 years without paying for it.

Well i guess though having 7-zip today winrar was quite THE TOOL back then^^ i remember especially using it ALOT for ots stuff back then^^

I made my mum buy it for me when I was like 12, which would have been about the year 2000.

Such a dumb decision, but I guess I can get into heaven now.. ha
