It's expected that Google glasses will be released within the next few months, and it was also said that it would cost around $300.

What do you think? Will you buy it? Or do you think it's gonna ruin the world like smartphones did?

No, I won't buy it. I bet Google is already working on the next generation of Glass and this one will be obsolete within 12 - 18 months of its release.

Same I won't buy it, honestly its nothing that special and anything I can do on it I can do on my phone. Maybe with the next generation as J.Dre said, with more features.

This is pretty epic. Sorry but dayum i like it. $300? so like £240? or so. Not too bad. I agree they will make more and better features - maybe even as something like a contact lens. Don't really wanna walk down the street with this shit on xD However it is pretty cool. Future developments may be better but as its going they would need people to buy it to continue it. It's quite a handy tool - maybe they could add a zoom function like binoculars and even microscope options. I could see the scientific community buy them. I wonder - does it even have a flash/torch? esp for recording/photos.

I like the zoom function, still needs a voice recognizer to not let anyone else fuck up what ure doing

Every guy thinks this would be a good idea. But you would quickly realize seeing through everyone's clothes is only good if everyone is hot.

Things Google Glasses would have to have for me to buy them:

1. Turn by Turn GPS directions with a see-thru hud for walking/driving, that paints the directions and highlights signs you need to follow.
2. Real-Time barcode scanning showing product information and comparisons while shopping
3. Able to recognize people and things (facial recognition) and give live data about them
4. The glasses should detect incoming light and adjust the glass shade/transparency to protect your eyes
5. You should be able to purchase "skins" to make it look like you are in a video game (Re-texture the world as you see it)

It would need ALL of the above for me to want to buy a pair of these glasses.
