It happened to my rl as well, just download new graphic card drivers, and it will work.
It only got bluescreen if he played tibia tho, was like that for me a while as well, but I just runned it in max fps: 10.
 
It's exactly called BSoD (Blue Screen of Death). And as far as I know it happepns when Windows receives unexcepted hmm, let's call it command? And it's (again, AFAIK) related to OS, not hardware so don't flame your new PC Holman :D.

It's about hardware..

If the graphic card for example don't get enough voltage you will get a bsod

I used to get it while playing wow and watching a movie at the same time.
 
As some of you might have notice, my pc is giving me BSoD's, wich is killing me. Anyway, I went retired, but the pc doesn't seem to fuck with me at the moment, so I deceide to get some levels back. Even though I died :P
