Hacking Tibia from Ots

Hi, im new here, first time posting. My doubts is about hacking the real Tibia using Otserver. When i hosted some OTs like 7 years ago, everything was just fine, but then one day my real account in Tibia got hacked, but gladly i could recovery it. The question is: Do OTserver opens a door to someone hack your real account? And even, your computer and files?

Because im thinking about getting back to create a new OTserver, it was really fun back then. But as i said, im afraid of gettin hacked, so... thanks!

Did you use the same account name and password as your real tibia account when playing any ot's, even one that you created?
If yes, then it is possible for someone to hack their way in to view some credentials, and use that account name and password to attempt access to a real tibia account.
If it's the server owner it's even easier, as they have access to that kind of information in their database.
Or, as in most cases, it's a real life friend who hacked you and is lying about it.

No i havent used the same accname/password for my OT account. And no one knows my acc and my password, none of my friends. I was the owner of the server. The thing i still dont know is how someone can have acess to your information while youre the owner of the server?

You never know, if you want to play it save you have to only play on servers that don't force you to use a custom client.
Download a client from cipsoft(other pages can have malware), edit the client with an HEX editor, ip, RSA etc.

Asprate ipchanger got some virus after a while(so most likely a good copy and not released by the creator).
And it's fully posible to get keyloggers from RME, TFS, OTClient. All you have to do is start it - this is most cases only posible with code you get from random ppl, not github etc.
