Help about a rpg server

Well, i want to make an rpg server based on Tibia.
I play Tibia for about 9 years, i have some basic scripting and mapping skills. I already owned private servers like MU Online, Lineage 2, etc
I want some basic help about OT servers, I know that i can take any distribution and datapack and start a "poor" server, but....
my idea is to make my own server, my own map, etc...
and the question is:
What distribution it's the best to make an rpg server? I want only a base to work, but i need to know how to start, any help is welcome.

I would recommend downloading 0.3.7 or donate to otland and get the 0.4, depending on weather you'd want to spend some money on it as well But I've used 0.3.7 a lot and it's easy and pretty descent in my opinion. And there's a whole bunch of support threads out there regarding these distros.

Well 0.3 got more features then 0.2, but 0.2 is the most stable engine.

afaik 0.4 is moved into 0.3.

If you want alot of options when it comes to scripting, best is to use TFS 0.3.
One of the most used free version is TFS 0.3.6, but this is only for client 8.54 and 8.6.
The TFS 0.3.7 version is also for 8.6 and higher clients.
