[help] mapping a house

I've read all the tuts and everything, I've searched 'map a house' and 'house tutorial'. Where do I place the exit when using the map tool? Open the door then place the exit(cuz you can't place it on a closed door) or right outside the door?

I'm pretty sure your meant to place it just outside the door, if you placed it on the door, when someone does "Alana sio" and kicks someone out, if the door was closed the chacter would be on the door and if they moved most likely debugg
