i got all correct until step 4, when i get this error

STEP 4
Add samples to DB:

Fatal error: Call to a member function query() on a non-object in C:\xampp\htdocs\install.php on line 396

Help pleaseee :/

A lot of people have had this error. I've had it too, altough I have no idea what I did in order to fix it. =S
