Host Problem

Hello,
I tried to play with my friend in one server,
My friend running it,
And only if i am playing with the same IP adress as my friend i can play.
How can i do that i will play with another computer in the server?
When I am trying to connect it does connect to server a lot of time and stuck..
How can i fix it?

Dont try to log in with ur whatsmyip IP
Try to log in with the router ip
Like this ; 192.168.1.2?
Or 127.0.0.1
