Hello guys,

I need some advice, I want to let me server hosted by a hostingcompany..
But now I got some questions.

1. Should I choose for a VPS (virtuel private server) or a dedicated server?
if it's possible I want a VPS because it's alot cheaper, but will it runns smootly? without lagg etc?

2. How much datatraffic do I need?? (100 - 150 players)

3. does anyone knows a cheap hosting company?

1. You should buy a dedi.
2. 500 gb is enough.

Is RAM memory importand to just run the server???

If you have 2000 mb (werkgeheugen) you can host on your own computer without getting laggs.

I wouldn't suggest this though, most home internet uplink's are sub 1MB. That won't be enough to be lag-free for long if you get over 40 players.

My uplink is 50 MB and 2 GB of ram. but don't want to put my pc on 24/7 now I have 3 mounths dedicated server for 50 euro

Ubuntu. i have it now on my pc and i really like it

I think debian will be a bit better for TFS.
