Hello everyone, im new here, and to the whole OTserv scene. Im looking forward specializing in mapping.
I have no issues running Remeres Map editor, but I want to test my maps in Tibia and see if they work well and for taking proper screenshots.

Problem is, im mapping the latest versions of Tibia, since they have the most sprites, and therefore I need a server 10.x+ just so I can open it for myself.
I cannot find in the download section a distribution of an ot 10.x that is working, i downloaded a bunch of them but they don't come with the console and I dont know what to do, ive tried looking at tutorials but I cant find nothing that shows me what to do about it.

All im looking is the most simple, easy to use, 10x server to open it for myself for testing purposes (the latest versions would be the best) , could someone tell me what to look for?

Thanks a lot.
:)

Actually I have never thought of people like you, who just want clean source with newest client, just to make custom something. I will upload updated server soon to distribution or datapack thread.

Download something like this [10.90 + Cast] Tfs 1.2 (custom modifications) + Reward Chest Open the data map then go into the map that is called world. if you have a map editor downloaded you should be able to open it. It will want you to navigate to your tibia folder since there isn't any tibia data files in that folder.
What you can do is copy the the files from C:\Program Files (x86)\Tibia copy the tibia.dat files and paste it into the world file.
Hope it helped

Thanks a lot for that :)
I've been searching for all types of posts around some OTservs forums in order to catch up as much as I can, and I found out that before, in the 7.6-8.6? era, everything came clean and required less work, it seems like you got more completed stuff and you only had to customize it while now it seems like everything is a bit more incomplete and you require to work on it and add it for yourself, problem is that new people like me don't have the resources or knowledge for that yet, and seems like there aren't many up to date tutorials about that, so its an issue, obviously.
I've been playing Tibia (orginal) for a long time, and I was retired for many years, I came back to the whole scene because of Cipsoft's improvement in mentality to finally erase botting from the game, I've seen a LOT of people coming back to the game (see reddit Tibia sub), or new people wanting to play the game for the first time, this people would eventually move to OTs like I am doing, and having basic resources might be a great start for people like us. :)

I donwloaded that distribution previously, but it doesn't come with the console, and I cannot load it, do you know how I could get a console inside those files and where I could get it? Thanks!

here's the newest tfs version that was released
The Forgotten Server 1.2
you will need these dlls in your server folder so the exe can start up
OpenTibia DLL Pack (v2.0)
you'll also need to set up a website and database to create your character and log in to your server
here's a tutorial by znote on how to set a server up, it's outdated but it will still work for setting up tfs 1.2
