Hello.

I was about to try my old server in my W7 64 bits. It was a 0.4 tfs for tibia 8.6 compiled for debian. Here in my W7 I had a server prepared for windows but its a 32 bits process.

With the custom map it works properly but if I make any "important or big" change the process exceeds the 2gb of RAM memory so it doesnt start (Allocation failed, server out of memory!)

I've read to make a change in the bios for get 3gb limit in the process or compile the server in 64 bits... I've searched some tutorials in the forum and didn't find anything that could help. Do you know how can i do it properly? (I've been premium account twice here in otland, but i'm not atm).

Thanks you.

I think you need 64bit libs + 64bit compiler.
Not too sure, but it might help.

Thanks! Do you know if I can find them in the forum? The thing is that I've read is kinda different from compile a 32 bits server, that why i'm looking for a tutorial since set 3gb as limit of RAM in a process I think is still not enough

Its basicly same method on all of them afaik.. Very similar atleast

After researching for a long time I have come to the conclusion that its really hard to compile 0.4 rev in 64 bits.... so it is impossible to host a 8.6 tibia server in Windows. Even Elf (a user from this community) was selling the tutorial or the compiled server, idk, for around 200 €. Another old user said that it tooks him a looot of time finish it and he didn't make it properly 100%.

So, for the Windows users, sorry but you have to host a new tibia version since the new revs (1.0/1.1) are easier to compile in 64 bits. If you want to host 8.6, please go and compile the rev in Linux.

I'm member of this forum since 2008, I thought this forum had all stuff about tibia... I've fix hundreds of bugs and errors with the help of this forum and their users, but today I realized that not everything is in this community, it's a real shame.
