Linux how enter to phpmyadmin? LINUX UBUNTU

its permissions issue, i had the same problem...Linux sucks ass..it is meant to fuck with your head.

(If your switching from windows that is.)

type this in command prompt..

gksudo nautilus
then click file system then var folder, right click on www folder..click properties, click permissions, change it all to read + write, the second one should be your username..then click on the do this for all files in it too. done.

if that dont work type cd /var
then type chmod 777 -R www

Jano, I have installed phpmyadmin, but I can't know how to configure it t.t when I enter say the too error 403 - forbidden why? I tried of everything, changing host, increasing ram, changing processor, etc...And now I have in mind (because I was talking with a friend) and he said that it could be the OS software...Im planning to change to Ubuntu, do you think that will have a change?

haha +1, extremely anti user friendly xDD

Cheers for the support.

NP I stressed out big time on issues like this, just feel like I need to prevent that from happening to others..which gets me to thinking, why don't 2 people make a windows common errors thread and linux common errors thread..sticky them both and add to a master list. gogo mods, you can't say it wouldn't save people 1000s of hours of time.
