2GB of RAM...

Your server won't have more than 50~80 players online, besides, it's a real map server, so it will lagg more...

I have a real map server and it consume like 250~500 mb of ram, sometimes 1GB of RAM... and your own windows-processs.
But, I have a server with 8GB of RAM and 100 mb/s of internet connection, so I cannot say that exactly.

Greetings.

With less than 10 mb custom map you can handle at least 300 or more I would say. You have dual core plus 2 gb of ram that should be enough.

You need to upgrade your internet. I got even worse computer specications and I can handle 140+ players without lagg.

His internet connection isn't that bad.
I can handle 90 players I get 950 kb upload in the speedtest.
So I guess he could handle over 300 players with that connection.
I think 300 players is enough for awhile.

Ehhmm... This is wrong; It's impossible to have 100mb/s of internet connection, u're mistaken the ethernet LAN connection at which u are connected to ur router... Even in japan nobody had ever surpassed the 20mb/s download... But if you have ADSL, your upload speed is even lower than your download, which means you can't have more than 3 or 4 mb/s of upload, depending of your isp this cold be even lower than 256kb/s... And is translated as like 20 players with low/moderate lag.

I had an ots hosted in a dedicated server (used to pay like 100bucks per month), with a 10mb/s of bandwidth; Supported like 100 players... When reached the 120+ it began with considerable lag, but due to the low-spec of the server (p4 1.6ghz, 512mb ram, 80hdd at 5400rpm.) and the size of the map (like 50mb).

And yeah, if u want performance, get rid of windows and use a linux server... And 2gb of ram is more than enough to host a map of RL size.

Then I think you had choosen wrong dedicated server hosting company. You'll get an dedicated server in leasewebs for around 60Euros, and it can handle a realmap up to 170 players. It doesn't depends on your internet speed, it's on brandwidth and your CPU, how much it can handle.

That's a lie my server had 140+ players without lagg on the same computer with 1gm ram lol

i upgrade my internet a bit littel bit ..

waht now how many player ?

so I guess you're having around 8,5 mbt/s in download, and if you're paying for 24/7, then the result is kinda bad, contact your ISP.

Hmm, well.. it depends really, as I said before, you can handle 100 players aswell, possibly more too.

How much ram have you got, and what kind of processor? (How much Ghz and if its an double processor) Still the same?
