Hello,
I just wanna know how many players this
Server would be able to handle:
Map size: small (will be extended however)
Website:No
TFS 036pl1
-----
Server specs:

1x3,4GHz
2048 MB RAM
1000mbits
Traffic: unlimited flat
-------

I am not sure if 2GB RAM is enough, but
Without website and just a small map it should work Fine i guess,
Since TFS 036pl1 can only use 2GB RAM eh?
Regards,
//Damon

not alot bro but as i said i can host for u if u want 6 gb ram

I know bro :)
Just wondering how much players it could handle, cause I like having servers in my own hand :D

ye :) and tfs only can handle maximum 2GB(exept if else compiled) , so its good, too :D
and processor 1x3,4GHz not bad :P

500+ People
If you use a world that is smaller the 20MB

Tibia servers does only use one core so does not mather if you use dual or quad.

You can enable all cores on server, and put realtime to enable maximum potential of server. I assume you will get around 200 players lag free.
............. /\ /\
300 if smaller map.

You do know that amount of players have nothing with the RAM too do right. It's Upload speed and CPU (CPU depending on how many actions needs too be executed)

Thanks :)
So OT-Z is coming this weekyend :P

The Forgotten Server does not support multi-threading, which means that it can operate only one core at the time.

This is not entirely true. The Forgotten Server uses three threads (4 with GUI). When you think of it as one thread, you're thinking of the dispatcher thread (which calls the game functions), these functions are not thread safe so that's why we don't spawn multiple dispatcher threads in TFS. There's a network thread (asio) and a scheduler thread too. Besides, you're not only running The Forgotten Server on your server computer. You have the operating system with a lot of processes, MySQL, a web server. All these things can benefit from a CPU with multiple cores.
