8mbit is enough for ~450-500 players. Your map etc is simple enough unless you got scripts that take 100% CPU.

retard narozia with 700 players online, no laggs was hosted with 2 gigs of ram.

RAM is just for the map and not for players.

you need only the ram to load the map.
At map loading you need 1,8 gb of RAM .
after 1 h you need only 1 gb of RAM.
after 6 h you need only 500 mb of RAM.

tested on WIndows 7 (32 bit) with 3 gb of RAM.

Nopp sql can only take 1000 connections at the same time.

That ain't true, sql servers are able to handle 32,767 user connections.
MOST OF THEM, some are limited tho.


Anyway, I can host over 200 with no problems.
