How to add to otservlist?

Can someone please explain how to add my server to otservlist..
It always gives me error message that server must be online in order to add it to list..even though im running the server already

Well its right, your server needs to be online while adding to the list.
If ur server is already running and its still give a error that means u configured it wrong, First try to connect with this ip which u gave on otservlist.

What do i have to put in config?
I know that i have to put ip adress and shit..
But what about that MySQL stuff,localhost and that stuff?
If someone will be nice to explain the process?

Are you using sql or xml?, if you are using xml then u dont need to change anything in ur config but if u are using sql then u need to change some things like name of ur database, sql type: mysql, user: root, password:

I'm using SQL..but do i need to go on any certain page to make account or something?
So i can put password of it in config??
And one more thing..where is account maker and players folder in SQL?

Players/Account folders arent there like on XML
Well after u installed xampp goto http://127.0.0.1/security/index.php
setup ur password.
then goto http://127.0.0.1/phpmyadmin/index.php and create database

OK... I highly recommend to start OT Servers with XML and then learn SQL and that...

XML it's easyier....

Just open port 7171 in your router.
Then the IP that gave you the router, thats the IP you'll need for the OT, in the section... ip="Your IP"
And then it's ready...

And with the MySQL things, dont move If you dont want to mess with that...

Dont try to enter in your OT with your Local IP-Address, that IP always login in your OT, try the Global IP, if it works, now you can add the server to OT Serv List...

Start with sqlite, its easiest, and much better than XML.

Even on XML i can't add the server..
can you just tell me this..
what ip goes on config.? global or local?
what ip i have to put on otservlist? global or local?
and on what ip i have to login on my server? global or local?

Well I still can't add the server..no idea why..
I can start the server and login to it..but just can't add it to otservlist..
I guess I'll just have to play other people's server..
Anyways thanks for trying to help me..

Have you tried to portforward so other users can connect to the server?

Tell me what IP you use, and what port. I will check it.
