How to avoid closing server?

hello, im considering one thing from long time. For example shadowcores where plays 1k people and why cipsoft dont wanna go with copyrights and close all ope tibia servers? Can someone expail it for me? Like in thread name how to avoid closing server by cips?

Don't give users download link to tibia client, or use custom client.
