If your ports are not open try to find port forwarding guides.

I mean the IP people are supposed to use to access my 'in game server' and how do I change it to something along lines of 'worldorock.com'

Using your database, are you using Sqlite?

In MySQL just give to your account Page Acces = 3 (this will allow you to be administrator at your website), GroupID = 6 , and at your player just give him GroupID = 6 aswell.
edit: Also, if you are using SQLite, open your .s3db file with SQLite Database Editor (google it), and do the same
