Yes don't work, error. Server Dedication is from ovh.pl

It should work fine by default. Try to login on user different than root because it may be disabled.

Weird, logging via ssh shouldn't make anything with ftp, o.

Did you modified any proftpd.conf directives? For me it just works fine with default installation, I don't know why it doesn't for you. Maybe try pureftpd.
