Windows How to open PORT 7171 to my xml OT!!

Before you go to portforwad, try to turn off your windows firewall, restart pc and start ot. Maybe ports in router are already opened, its just firewall blocking. If so, you will have to turn firewall on again and add port 7171 in firewall as exeption.

Nothing will forward ports by itself. :)

I've never accesed my router, but all ports are opened there by default. All problems about ports always does firewall, because exception/add port is not working(or im too dumb to tell my firewall to open ports I want), it always blocks the ports I need, and only when I turn it off, it works. Idk...

EDIT: Also I got thomson router. :D

Your ports are opened in your router and in your firewall too?

Then it shouldn't be any problem with connecting, are you sure your ports are opened for the right computer ip?

I'm talking about the 192.168.x.xx ~~ or something. Also, make sure you have setup a static IP Address.

how do i open port 7171 i got Netopia Model 3347-02 AnnexA High-Power Wireless DSL Ethernet Managed Switch xD can someone please tell me ;( ?

In my comp i don't have firewall and i have opened my ports in router. But still i can't make it online. My router firewall is disabled. What i must to do?

If you have two computers online connected to the same router, you need to configurate your ports, no matter what.

There is no function "open all ports by default".

Because port system does not work like "open, close".

The port system tells your router that Internet traffic through a specific port goes to the specific computer.

When there is one computer connected to the network that does not count.
DMZ host might detect the first computer and forward all ports to that if running with only 1 computer connected to the router.

Some places where there is only 1 computer, there usually is no router since its not neccesary, therefore, all ports are open.
