Linux How to Update Mysql

i would like to ask,

How can i Update Mysql to 6.0+ without losing database info.

to fix this

Never done it before, but I think you can create a dump of your whole database.
Click your database, then click Export, and then click Go.

PS: You will find on the same page (Export) at the bottom where the file will be saved.
PS2: Like I have said, I've never done this before, I've just tested myself, but I'm not exactly sure still, maybe wait for someone to confirm my post.

Oh, nevermind, you're using Linux; so things might be a bit different, sorry I don't know then.
I have never used Linux.
