How to use the existing tibia maps through Remeres Map Editor

We finally have an OT working!

I have created a very basic map in Remere's map editor and pointed the config file to use it etc.
Just wondered if there was any way we can use or edit Tibia's existing maps within it.

I have the maps downloaded from tibiamaps.org but they are ".map" instead of "otbm".

Can this be done and how please?

im guessing it is a site to download tibia minimaps
it has nothing to do with ot maps

Those files are automap files, you cant open them in RME because they dont contain any map info.
