Linux .htaccess on linux , doesnt work?

Hello.

Can anyone tell me how to prevent people from downloading website files? If im writing for example tibia.com/config, It will enter to a directory of the available files there.

It should be like this when trying to enter "You don't have permission to access /config on this server."

and do that for all you want to allow to see the files.. if you only put Allow from 127.0.0.1/19 you will only be able to see it from the local computer ;)

I installed Apache instead and It works alittle better but It's working good on Windows but on my dedicated it doesn't work as it should. Help anyone?
