i miss Mapping Contests

I miss mapping contests, mainly from tnet pl site where we had mapping contests based around certain theme once in a while. It produced one of the best pieces of mapping to this day i still have some of them saved on my drive even tho most of them are lost media now. Anyone feeling the same? Some basic rewards like premium or forum emblems i think everyone would be happy. Mappers getting fame, us getting to see them do crazy stuff with the new graphics.

last post 2021 that was a lot of time ago,

- Hard to collect consistent enough mappers to join.

- Quality map is time consuming, and many are still mapping after many years of development for their own project.

- Limited to a theme i understand but it doesn't make it easier.

- You know when Neon joins and others from similar tier that your not going to win anyway. Which may take away certain challenge/achievement for others.

But yeah some really cool maps were back then...

Mapping contests are fun, but I think it'd be better to do "theme of the day" or "theme of the week" type showcases.
