I want to get into Coding/Mapping - Looking for good guides?

Hey guys I got some more time on my hands the next while, i've been away from the ot community for 2 years now and want to learn everythign from scratch, even though I have some experience I want to learn it all from start again to really solidify the basics.

Please post in here links to some good Coding (Lua/Xml) and Mapping guides that you guys reccomend thanks!

There are some Lua tutorials on this forum (I'm trying to work on making more).
Also, don't be afraid to ask questions, that's how I learned Lua, along with learning by example.

I'm really not sure. I'm very new to this. I'm having an issue where if I load a map in RME, and save it (even without editing anything) the server won't open at all. The console window flashes and disappears.



Also, if you do have skype, that would definitely be helpful. You already helped me with another issue today. lol

How would I find that out?

Like, how would I figure out what Tibia version I am saving.

The server distro was 7.6, the map I open up is in 7.6 in RME. Both the Tibia.dat and .spr came from a clean Tibia 7.6 client download.


Also, whenever it starts it says failed to load houses.xml

I don't understand why it wouldn't work. The map works no problem at first, it's just if I load it and save it. After saving it, it no longer works.
