I really like the idea of having a server that resets every month or so, since playing from a fresh start with everyone else is definitely the most fun part about tibia. Playing on a new tibia world is really lots of fun and so is playing a newly opened otserver. With that said though I think you need to execute it better, right now it's just default TFS map and config which is really boring.

A lot of popular games also uses a "reset system" like this, for example diablo series and poe - where every couple of month they start a new ladder where people can compete etc and their old characters gets moved to the non ladder. And even some moba games does this to some extent.

Money doesn't grow on trees so the winning prize as well as the money for the server has to come from somewhere.

I agree that the config/map is kind of boring but the real excitement with this server is from the prize you can win. I didn't buy enough RAM because I don't want to spend a fortune if no one is actually interested in an esports OT server. The point with this first month is to see how much interest people actually have. If there's actually people playing on the server then the community can also decide map and config.
 
You just seem really uncommitted, low ram, basic config, tfs map? Why the hell would anyone trust to give you $1 let alone $15.
The community decide on the map? The community won’t be there, they will decide on which server to play that has a map they enjoy, not one that COULD have a map they eventually enjoy.
And if the excitement of the server is that you could win $ and not the map or gameplay, then why wouldn’t that person just go work a few extra hours, same idea, the “gameplay” of work isn’t always fun, but the excitement of $ is why we do it. Flawed logic here. Sorry man
 
Yeah this seems really silly. Theres nothing unique about this. You're just charging people money to play on a server that resets monthly. Maybe offer a prize of digital currency that can be used to purchase things from a shop, but real money will ensure that NO ONE touches this.
 
I like the idea, but as you put no interest into the mapchoice nor the features, meh destroys the excitement a bit. I also have no idea who you are at all, so I would've kept the first months buy-in price way lower in order to gain a bit of trust.

My opinion hate on it if you like!
WARNING: read at your own risk @BitcoinOT this is blunt!! read what you will tho
get 20 testers have them all play for 1 month once you figure out who won and deserves the money give that person 300$ and at that point we will trust you a bit more and make sure the beta testers are well known people on here that way we know its not setup :)

takes money to make money~ and most of your idea's / map etc is going to come from here anyways so its not like your really contributing to the server its just a way you can pinch a profit from people.
 
The concept looks interesting, but to make this work I think it has to be from an already established OT community. If etc shadowcores, classicus, hexera would do this there could be players willingly to pay to register and make an esport-ish OT community. But an unknown anonymous user nobody, or almost nobody will pay to get in.

Perhaps if you trow in some money first, like #1 100usd, #2 60usd, #3 30 usd and allow free registrations to get the community, and then once you are a bit more established it could work out.

But to join the server you will have to pay 15$ right?
So you are practically hosting an OT to exchange your own bitcoins?....
 
It's a very good idea, I would definitely pay & play on this server.
 
The concept is flawed. Owner can make a character and just boost him up a bit everyday more then other and actually win the money,everymonth.
