Is anyone still interested in custom, RPG servers?

I have been working almost 3 years on a custom map, and now that everything is finished (scripts and so on), I thought it might be time to release it.
However, when I go to the Advertisement board, everything I see is "Real map", "global" and ocassionaly "custom map, but everything with tps and 9999999x exp".

So my question is, is anyone out there still interested in custom servers, with low exp rates (~x5) on which you actually have to walk to your spawns?
I put a lot of work into this and don't wanna release it just to see i got 3 player online record.

The server would be 9.1, and would have some features like team-dungeons (almost everything team-based :p) and many many quests.

If you would like to see this, post some feedback about what other things you would like to see in the server.
(No custom vocations, they will be adjusted but they will still stick to Cip's KnightPalaMage)
 
I wouldn't release it instantly, give it time, set up a showoff and discussion thread, let it be known, then when you think it's time. It's time.

That's why I'm sceptical to release it. And it's a shame, because I think Tibia has lost almost all it's RPG feeling. Where's the excitement when exploring caves, fighting new monsters?

I know, my idea was to make an advertisement post and release the server 1 week after that.
About the discussion thread... I think we already have this one :D
 
I agree, I only play custom RPG's but most people don't make them anymore or just don't like them. I don't see why so many people like real map, it's to boring and you've already done everything over and over again. The same quests and monsters and items... and then you have the cheaply made servers like evolution, acid, chaos, etc... which were fun the first time but why make like 50 of the same server like it when all the items are custom, like name, exp, and what drops it, custom spells, monsters, quests, map etc... I like to explore the map looking for secrets and just having fun experiencing new things. The exp on most servers are to high which is so boring, you can do everything in like 5 days and then you're bored, and then you have the servers that are like 3 exp which is also boring, because you have to hunt at the same monster for like 5 hours and get like 1 level. I like it whens its like 30-100, because then its not to slow and not to fast. And I would never play real map or anything from real map even if I got paid. So it's your choice if you want to put it up but I'm just saying most people won't play it.
 
Do you mean... 30-100 exp rate? or average level?
because I think the meaning of RPG server includes low rate exp (x7~x5)
 
I like it went its not to low, because for me hunting at the same monster for like 5 hours just to get 1 level is sooo boring and I would fall alseep, but I also don't like it when you kill 1 thing and then you are level 10000 or something. I like it when monsters give a nice exp rate where you don't get so bored quickly.
 
It would be awesome to see a low-rate server at last!

I would like to say im quite surprised someone finally had the brains to make a decent server without ridiculous xp rate like 20x and higher and on top of that custom map that dont look like shit i cant wait ill you release this sever it look pretty dam good
 
so, map is fully done now? Why you want to release it? Why not to make a server? Hire scripter and go-go ^^

With "release" I meant releasing the server. Of course all the scripts and all that stuff are finished. Check out the advertise board and look for Ruthless Chaos :)
 
With Release you mean HOST the server right? You wont release it? (Make people able to Download it)...
I believe it custom low exp servers, I am making it myself, keep it up!
