Is it possible to make m lvl based weapon?

Hi guys,
I'm wondering if it is possible to make weapons use your magic level instead of sword etc for fighting purposes. Is it achieveable without editing source code?

You can use onEquip and onCombat/onAttack events to alter the default behavior of items and weapons.
Not to mention a dedicated weapons directory.
But you will probably need to write some Lua code.
