Ive seen so many posts about otland dying, userbase getting lower everyday but... as i go trough discussion/natives/all sorts of boards i see there steady movement which brings me feeling that otland isnt really dying, people just talk less bullshit everywhere, trolls that happend to occur from time to time have gone which resulted post begin much more valuable so imho it's not that otland is dying, it's actually evolving, users growing and have less bullshit to tell and actually more valuable things to share with and if they dont... they just dont post unnecessary posts.

So far when i came back to otland after 1 year break i have to admit, this community grew, it have grew to it's times when people tend to be better, more advanced and adulter (with some exceptions ofc). The otland layout and engine... i didnt really felt any difference from the old one, it's still very clean and easy to use thus i dont really undearstand the hate on it that i've already met with.

What other i could say? well i could say that im happy to see old otland the way it is now, it ofc could be more crowded but... you cant really connect mass and quality together, now it's quality time so let's use the time given us and do some dope shit :)

There's quite a few things from the old forum that are missing now (in terms of functionality and style). However, I don't think this is a major issue at this point. Keep in mind, the new forum (XenForo) came right around the time that Summer ended. Therefore, it is highly likely that people are busy with school and are playing less often as they would in the Summer. I have my email connected to my GitHub account, which also is connected to the TFS repository; The amount of email notifications coming from that repository is a lot more in terms of activity that we have seen from the old SVN. Also, since RME is pretty much useless at this point, Forgotten Map Editor is currently being developed with an open-source repository and has active developers. It is safe to say that TFS 1.0 is on a roll, a new map editor is being developed and people are still actively working.

It's not dying. You may support otland by donation. There are still few people left who won't just leave it all. Some of them have otservers, some of them are good in whatever they do and others are here for community. As long as we are here it'll be alive.
