Which distr is the best to makeing OTS?

I'm thinking about Debian...

(I'm TOOOTAL newb in Linux)


Or maybe windows.... but i wanna to learn this tux ;d

3x 2.10+ GHz
3 GB DDR 2

How many players i can have with this @UP conf with:

a) Linux
b) Windows (2k3 server ofc)
