Just a little go at mapping.

Hi All,

Not done mapping for over a few years now, but I thought I'll give it a try..

Dragons below are not accessible on purpose, the only option the player is allowed is to go across the bridge (a part of the story.)

Any negative feedback is welcome!

Cool idea, i can tell you have inspiration which is a huge plus, biggest feedback is too much going on, and too many different terrain types, you have like 7 different floor types, limit it to a max of 3 in my opinion, then you have dead trees, living trees, mushrooms, swamp plants, stones, its too many different things and makes no sense.

Pretty good so far though :D Just keep it a bit simpler, many mappers try to go over the top spamming detail everywhere, but the rest is just setting up an environment for the bridge + dragon, keep the rest nice and simple.

Good work over-all, but like someone else stated, too much going on for such a small area.

My crit~

Bridges have too much support.
Lava + swamp don't mix.

I'd remove most of the bamboo support, and change the lava/cooled lava into some sort of grass/stone.. or dead grass if you really need it.
Swamps aren't usually filled with dead objects. They are actually quite lively, but have stagnant/non-moving water.

I'm sure a lot of people will watch your thread.

Keep up the creativity. :D

Starting to build a broken bridge (a part of the story)
Not finished yet...

You can use those grass borders on the mountains but try not to use them everywhere and add some of the mossy wall under it to give the llusion of it hanging. Also remove some of the mountain borders, it looks like someone was in a hurry and just used the 8x8 square and auto bordered all the mountains, look a samuros picture for reference. Overall your mapping skill looks solid and I will continue to watch your thread
