Just a simple question

I'm wondering why this happens
Note: I don't have a router and i didn't portforward anything or open any ports

Before, I could host a server and everyone can log into it normally
I could log into the server using my global ip

Now for some reason i cnt log into my server using global ip but using 127.0.0.1 and no one can log into the server unless i open the ports
does anyone know why?

your ip maybe changed ? look at your ip again myip.se, and try to do all everything over again

He can connect to the internet with just a modem.
Router is a wireless/lan solution so several computers may use the same modem.
Switch is a lan solution so several computers may use the same modem.

You just need a modem to connect to the internet. But if you have more PC's you'll need either a router or a switch.

What modem are you using?
You should be able to gain access to your modem to edit local ports, if not you are using a closed modem.
In that case there is not much to do.

127.0.0.1 is your localhost, or just your ip. You can always connect with this, ports forwarded or server not online, etc.

You should check Open Port Check Tool to see if the ports are open. If not, make sure you don't have any fire walls running, etc. Other than that, there shouldn't be any problems :thumbup:
