Today I realised how much content is going to be permanently lost if we don't keep conserving the most important stuff.

I decided to make a thread with everything we (this includes google users) are looking for.

Things that need to be found:
  • simone map editor (7.4-8.1) with a reference that will tell us which versions can open which clients
  • other iconic maps without any edits
  • deadtouch map (not sure how exactly it looked, every link I find seems to be dead)

Things saved from extinction:
  • Evolutions / clean evo (8.1, raw): <Link>
  • Evolutions (downgradeable 8.6, minor visual fixes only): <Link>
  • Karmia / Vanilla / Sadteam / Devland / Zorzin / theend(?) map: <Link> (updated, now can be converted to 7.92+)
  • YurOTS 0.9.4f <Link>
  • YurOTS map (7.6, bad tiles fixed, can be upgraded into any client now): <Link>
  • 7.6/7.72 leak real tibia map (global): <Link>
  • Oken, Gengia, Pyre: <Link>
  • original otserv engine map: attachment
  • Eternal Kingdoms: <Link>
  • TFS map <Link>
  • Remere's map editor <Link>
  • OTClient <Link>
  • OTLand IPChanger (<Link>) (won't post other ipchanger tools because this one covers all pre-tibia 11 clients)

Things I can't post even if I find some trace of them:
  • 7.6-8.1 (XML, early SQL) ots engines (most of them are either virused or have false positives from remote control app support)
  • evolutions/yurots/devland engines are among these

To be fair, most of these actually had virus and we used them regardless... We could make a repository or a persistence state file directory by using archive.org or such. I have some files I could contribute -- as I have been questing to find things such as this myself too. Most relevant: old blackdemon client editor, old dat and spr editors, survival 7.1 map (first OTS shared ever), simones, tibicams, etc

Also, I found this recently if it interests anybody: OTServ (https://www.4shared.com/minifolder/PqyEOPBf/OTServ.html?woHeader=1)

edit: also taskers and macros, lol... could be useful for developing anti cheating mechanisms

old blackdemon client editor

If you are talking about blackdemon's spr and dat editor I have it on HDD. Compatible with 8.54 and 8.6

Also I have NoxSpr.exe - sprite editor used in 8.0 - 8.6, it was essential combo with blackdemon's editor and otitemeditor for otb (which I have too).

You may don't know but you was able to do a 4x4 sqm size monsters with it (ex demon is 2x2) and tibia 8.6 was able to display it w/o debugs.

Can uplaod it if you want to but I will have to spend someone time to clean if from my folders and my sprites.

survival 7.1 map

Didn't thought somebody would ever ask for it again. It's yours if you can decode it.
I only had map saved so I don't know if corresponding ids are helpful

I'm pretty curious to see what was that map like because I never bothered to decode it or run a 7.1 server when I had a chance.

Edit: the map is from my portable hdd. After a while of googling I found complete sources. Be careful, executables can be dangerous.

To be honest it would be very helpful if you posted it. I already spent my whole day on editing Karmia and Yur to make them suitable for newet client versions. I don't really want to spend another day on writing a parser and otbm encoder for this map format.

Here is the SME editor and World Editor map editors I have. The SME one doesn't want to run / crashes on startup but it also has the source code with it. The world editor runs up to 9.31.

Very nice thread! Here's a copy of Sim0ne's Map Editor 0.4.490 ... I think it's for Tibia 7.6

I also found the Deadtouch distribution too, gonna look for the map tomorrow.

By the way, on a somewhat related note... if someone finds old Tibicams when browsing through their archives, please do share them here Old school Tibicams <=7.4 (https://otland.net/threads/old-school-tibicams-7-4.265756/) I have years searching for lost tibicams, heh.

For what we need engines based on XML? Theyre quite useless. Clean versions of evo engine without any viruses were available on 7.8-7.92.
About Evo map, I think that original version is from 7.8 client.

You can try downloading it here, but I haven't tested it if its free from viruses:

There are Evolutions from 0.6.3 to 0.7.9 XML/SQL 7.8-8.0 and something called OTMapEditor.

I think that we can drop tibia cams since obs screen recording is a thing (unless you insist on saving them).

@Kuzyn we don't need XML engines. Better alternatives with more features are available today. I made this post just to save the most iconic maps.

alright, managed to convert it thanks to @ScorpionOT repo

I don't know what I expected, but I must admit that the spaghetti behind handling the map in survival server was quite impressive
(only ground floor allowed, caves were handled through teleports, map actually had 512 occupied tiles for each line lol)

Attachments contents: Survival map (or at least something from my drive) converted to 7.6 otbm
edit: looks like I had another map file. Adding second converted map to attachments. They look related. Second map had different items table and is partially bugged.

I've got some servers in my archive.
Some of them are without server sources, so I won't post .exe's because of false positives and such.
But the maps and datapacks are fine.
