A Warning to the New in Forums(subject: Finding Hosters)

Be careful with whom ever tells you that they will host for you, there is a big probability that they want to steal the server from you(for more reference ask Sweedy what happened).
Now to prevent you from getting your server stolen, you have to do the following:
1. USE COMMON SENSE, common sense can hell you spot a scammer and make the right decision.
2. Ask around in the forums for "Who is a good and reliable hoster?".
3. Even though post counts and rep does not necessarily mean that the member is generally good, but can easily tell you if the user is active or not.
4. Check the hoster's profile and check "Find All Started Threads" and "Find All Posts" and read, most hosters have at least a small history of hosted projects, they are mostly seen around threads that relate to making and running a server helping other members and so goes on the list, you can use that kind of information to draw out your own conclusions about the user applying himself as your hoster.

if you do those steps you can easily find your self a hoster.
Good luck.
